Breaking in and Staying in - Building a Career in Videogames Writing - 12th December 19.00

A free panel event presented by Writers Guild of Great Britain, IGDA's Writing SIG and LSBU

Ever wondered how to get a job working with stories in interactive media? Already working in the industry and want to know how to take your writing to the next level? A panel of experienced interactive writers are here to talk you through the dos and don'ts. From Tutorial to Legendary, this is an inside guide that explores indie to AAA, VR to mobile sim. Practical advice from writers who have turned a break into a career in games writings. The panel will be followed by a Q&A, to give you chance to ask any questions you have. It finishes at 20.30 and we’ll all head to the pub afterwards to continue the conversation.

Panelists - Tom Jubert (Swapper, Talos Principle, FTL, Subnautica), David Varela (The Trace, Sherlock: The Network, Star Wars: Battlefront II) and Andrew S. Walsh (Need for Speed, Fable Legends, Shadow of War -mobile), Martin Korda (Destiny 2, FIFA 18, Fable)

Arrive: 7 pm for a 7.15 pm start




The talk is in room VG-06. You will need to sign in at security and then they will direct you.
