Description

The Anatomy of Illumination-Inayati Leadership Spring Training 2019 w/ Pir Zia Inayat-Khan & Many Friends

The Anatomy of Illumination is open to members of the Inayati Order’s Jamiat Am, including Esoteric School Coordinators, Representatives-in-Training, and Appointed Representatives. Coordinators-in-Training may attend with the recommendation of their guide. Advanced registration is required, by Friday, March 1, 2019. Join us in-person or online!

Over the past year, Pir Zia introduced a new practice for leaders to share with their murids, The Practice of the Symbol, weaving together various elements of classical Sufism, the teachings of Murshid, and the methods of Pir Vilayat. The Practice of the Symbol works with the three centers of the heart: latifa qalbiyya, latifa ruhiyya, and latifa sirriyya.

As we know, these three centers lie at the core of a larger framework of light and vibration. In this year’s leaders’ training sessions, Pir Zia’s intention is to outline, from head to toe, the overall anatomy of the body of light as cultivated, experienced, and articulated in our Sufi tradition. Along the way, we will make note of practices pertaining to the various subtle centers.

It is the intention that all Inayati Order Esoteric School teachers and guides obtain solid grounding in the practices and perspectives contained in this anatomical survey. A new The Anatomy of Illumination booklet will be given to Inayati Leadership Spring Training participants at the end of the program. Additional copies will be available for purchase online. You may take this training in person or online.

As in past years, Pir Zia will teach mornings, with supplemental practices and group discussions in the afternoons. Afternoons will focus more on time together in community discussing key topics affecting Inayati Order leaders today, as well as arising questions.
