Event Details

Cal Poly Pomona's the American War Experience through California Voices invites you to participate in a series of war chapter reading-based discussions focused on how you and your fellow Californians experience and envision war. Our discussions will explore how war shapes identity, culture, and society, as well as values such as patriotism, loyalty, community and sacrifice.

These discussions will be led by veterans and military dependents affiliated with Cal Poly Pomona's Veterans Resource Center and are organized into five war chapters:

  • World War I
  • World War II
  • Cold War
  • Iraq/Afghanistan - War on Terror

Participation and all materials are free. Refreshments will be provided for participants that register. For more information regarding the war chapter discussion schedule please refer to the program below.
