The Lemonade Project | 7–10 yrs | 10 a.m.
Join Tavia La Follette, guest artist and director of ArtUP, as we engage local neighborhoods in creating a new and unique take on your ordinary lemonade stand. Students will measure the quality of water from various socio-economic regions, including their own. Using that water they’ll make lemonade and set pricing according to quality. Carafes of lemonade organized by regions (similar to wine), will be on display as a refreshing learning opportunity to bring awareness to the environmental state of our surrounding neighborhoods. Using the foundations of ballet such as alignment, musicality, and strength, Melissa guides children through basic vocabulary and technique. Intro to Ballet | 5–7 yrs | 12 p.m.
Reinforcing the basic concep from Pre-Ballet, Introduction to Ballet progresses gradually to ensure students develop muscles correctly as they transition to barre and center exercises. Registration is now open for summer dance classes for children at The Alloy School. Classes meet each Saturday from June 14, through July 26, 2014. Attendance is capped at 15 dancers for each class, so register in advance and secure your spot.

There will be NO CLASS on July 5, 2014
