Description

The theme of The AFRO’s High Tea in DC, “We Too Support #MeToo “ is in recognition of SURVIVORS of sexual assault, harassment, domestic violence and other indignities and to let them know that The AFRO hears and supports them.

There will be three speakers addressing the issue of Domestic Violence, a special musical presentation by Benjamin Gate, a local renowned Cellist and other BIG surprises. A portion of the proceeds will benefit Final Salute, Inc., a local non-profit who provides services to

Three extraordinary women from the community will be honored with the “Women in Excellence Reaching Higher” award including Mrs. Virginia Ali, Co-founder/owner/operator of Ben’s Chili Bowl and Dr. Kimberly Jeffries Leonard, National Vice President, The Links, Inc; and a surprise honoree.
