Training Description:

The ACBs of ADHD will provide attendees with a medical, neurodevelopmental and historical evolution and perspective of attention deficit/hyperactivity disorders (combined, inattentive and hyperactive-impulsive subtypes). A brief overview of pharmacological behavioral interventions will be discussed.

Organizational and Study Strategies for Students with Attention and Executive Functioning Deficits will provide attendees with easy-to-implement systems to aid students of all ages in becoming more organized and task/goal oriented. School recommendations will be given to assist parents and students with advocating for their educationally relevant needs.

Training Objectives:

Participants will be able to:

  • Identify key characteristics in a child/adolescent with attention deficit/attention-related concerns.
  • Identify various types of attention-related diagnoses.
  • Develop educational supports and accommodations for students with attention-related concerns.
