36th annual GreenThumb GrowTogether Conference

SOWING AND GROWING NEIGHBORHOODS

Join NYC Parks GreenThumb as we celebrate our 36th annual GrowTogether Conference, kicking off the community gardening season in New York City! The two-day conference will be packed with workshops on garden-related topics including: growing techniques, native plants, climate change, community organizing, seed saving, working with youth, and much more. Bring seeds and seed stories to share at the new annual GreenThumb GrowTogether Seed Exchange. For up-to-date information about the conference, please visit our website and check our social media pages. We’re looking forward to another powerful conference to kick off the 2020 growing season with you!

We are excited to announce this year's GrowTogether Conference will feature a Keynote Address by Leah Penniman at the opening ceremony on Saturday, April 4th! Penniman is a Black Kreyol educator, farmer/peyizan, author, and food justice activist from Soul Fire Farm, which she co-founded in 2010, with the mission to end racism in the food system and reclaim our ancestral connection to land.
