The On Guard Initiative is excited to announce we will be holding our Second Annual On Guard Conference on March 31st, 2017. Our theme this year is "Corrections is what you do, not who you are." We hope you will join us for the day to discuss Correctional Staff Wellness and help us brainstorm solutions for the future to help improve the quality of life for Correctional Staff.
This year our Keynote Speaker will be Lewis Z. Schlosser, PhD, ABPP, who has devoted his career to working with Correctional Staff and other law enforcement officers (more info below). In addition to our keynote speaker, we will have a panel discussion, we will be presenting the Gary and Aida Ouillette award, and additional guest speakers will be announced soon. Keep a look out for the finalized schedule in the next few days!

Keynote Speaker - Lews Schlosser, PhD, ABPP
Dr. Lewis Schlosser is a police and forensic psychologist and managing partner at the Institute for Forensic Psychology (www.ifp-testing.com). He is a licensed psychologist in New York and New Jersey. Dr. Schlosser is a Diplomate of the American Board of Professional Psychology (Board Certified in Counseling Psychology). He is the former in-house Director of Psychological Services for the New York City Correction Department (2006-2015), a large municipal law enforcement agency with nearly 10,000 officers. He is also a former tenured Associate Professor at Seton Hall University (2003-2012). Dr. Schlosser has conducted over 6,000 law enforcement recruit, fitness for duty evaluations, and promotional evaluations. He is on the in-house psychological staff of the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey. Dr. Schlosser is a member of the International Association of Chiefs of Police, Police Psychological Services Section. He is also an affiliate member of the New Jersey State Association of Chiefs of Police and Bergen County Police Chief's Association. Dr. Schlosser lives in New York City with his wife and their two daughters. He was born in Lynn, Massachusetts, and loves the New England Patriots.
