Charitable Giving After Tax Reform: The Rules and Opportunities in the Current Tax and Economic Environment

Featuring Michele A. W. McKinnon, McGuireWoods LLP

Thursday, May 2, 2019

8:00am to 9:00am - Registration and Breakfast Buffet
9:00am to 12:15pm - Seminar

Clients want and expect advisors to address their charitable giving and philanthropic plans. This year’s Professional Seminar will enhance your ability to have these conversations and guide your clients. The program will examine the current philanthropic environment, including the impact of the 2017 Tax Act on charitable giving. It will also provide a robust review of planned giving vehicles and creative planning opportunities – bequests, charitable gift annuities, charitable remainder and lead trusts, pooled income funds, and gifts of remainder interests in personal residences and farms – as well as gifts of retirement benefits, donor advised funds, and private foundations.
