The 27th Annual Latina Action Day | A 3-Day Virtual Conference on April 26-28th, 2021 via Zoom

About this Event

Join HOPE for our annual public policy issues conference: the virtual 27th Annual Latina Action Day® on April 26th-28th via Zoom! We'll hold three online sessions over the course of three days bringing together some of California's top thought-leaders and experts to discuss issues affecting the Latina community.

This conference is dedicated to uplifting the voices of Latinas across the state to inform and influence key policy and budget issues that most impact the Latino Community. Built on the values of representation and advocacy, this conference is the only advocacy day designed to center the voices, experiences, and priorities of Latinas. The 3-day conference will convene thought leaders, decision-makers, and experts to discuss the opportunities and barriers that lay ahead for Latinos as the world moves beyond the COVID-19 pandemic which has disproportionately impacted our community.

You will receive a zoom link in your confirmation email once you register.

Learn from leading experts as they share insights about how California's Education System is navigating the demands of completing the 2021 school year, while simultaneously developing strategies to support full learning recovery and success.

Session 3: Wednesday, April 28, 2021 | 9:00 am - 10:45 am PST

Representation Matters: Boldly investing in Latina Leadership

In California, the Latina population is notably young, entrepreneurial, and resilient. Latinas are the future of the state and the leaders of today, however, California's government has yet to see Latinas ascend to its highest offices and fairly represented. Learn how important topics such as redistricting and gubernatorial appointments impact Latina Representation and what policy opportunities, such as HOPE's Priority Bill SB702, can do to support Latinas breaking barriers and smashing glass ceilings.
