This event will be a style-centric Brunch party fully equipped with red carpet arrivals and attended by over 500 style provocateurs from NYC and the tristate area. The "Sew Far, Sew Good" was conceptualized as a way to celebrate the “Rising Stars of Fashion” and recognize them as fresh and new editions of fashion that have eye catching products making their mark on the fashion scene. The premise of “Sew Far, Sew Good” is to recognize up and coming boutique owners, media/communication pioneers, designers, stylists, bloggers, editors, photographers, models and makeup artists.
Fashion has two seasons S/S (Spring/Summer) & F/W (Fall/Winter) and now so does Fashion award shows!
People have voice complaints that "We need more events celebrating US!" So we listened and just CREATED one! Based on the success of our yearly "April is Black Fashion Month" Gala "The Fashion 500" , The Block Association decided collectively to present an event solely to honor the "next ones to watch!" Compiled of upcoming people in Fashion making waves in front and behind the scenes. Toasting the rising stars of tomorrow in the industry you may or may not have heard of and spotlighting the up & coming "freshman" class of fashion that are pushing the culture up HIGHER! . So attention lovers of fashion you have a new date to prepare for. SUNDAY, DECEMBER 11th is the date and your outfit is your admission to get in, there's NO COVER!
