When & Where
Five Fifty Or So
Initiated as the result of a personal recession, Five Fifty Or So was brought into being by Cara McMurry, a young Virginian-in-the-A who would like to spend her time filling your plates with delightfully concocted consumptions. From gluten-free fritters, to hearty chillis, to honey-sweetened noms, she has developed some creative takes on stand-bys in addition to her own food brain children. Cara grew up on a farm where the difference between the grocery store and the garden was one of quality. In addition to flavor enhancement, Cara is interested in agriculture, nurition, food-disparities, and social stratification. For this reason much of the food you order from Five Fifty is prepared with the best quality and highest ethical principles in mind. She also has some issues with wheat and dairy, gastrologically speaking, so you'll see her menu is entirely gluten-free and occasionally dairy-free. Let's face it, dairy is the bomb; it's hard to by-pass it.
