ABOUT THE 80TH ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION:

The event will showcase TGHA’s positive impact on the Greenville community, from its founding in 1938 to its present-day achievements.

The celebration will begin with a reception from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. featuring drinks, hors d’oeuvres, and entertainment by a jazz ensemble. Exhibits illustrating significant accomplishments from TGHA’s 80-year history will be on display.

The reception hour will be followed by the anniversary program with special messages from local dignitaries, members of the TGHA Board of Commissioners and Executive Leadership Team. The keynote address will be delivered by Adrianne Todman, President and Chief Executive Officer of the National Association of Housing and Redevelopment Officials (NAHRO). NAHRO is a membership organization comprised of almost 20,000 housing and community development agencies and professionals from throughout the United States.

“We look forward to celebrating this historic milestone with the Greenville community. As we prepare for this event, we’re reminded of the great strides TGHA has accomplished during the last 80 years. From an initial development with 88 units in the early 1940s, we’ve grown to serve approximately 7,000+ residents throughout Greenville County in our Rental Assistance and Housing Affordability Programs,” stated TGHA Executive Director, Ivory Mathews.
