TGD Live is a monthly event series that brings together today's artists, makers, and risk-takers for interviews and performances in front of a live studio audience. Each TGD Live event is recorded and audio will be syndicated online for everyone to enjoy—not just those lucky enough to attend.

Anil Dash is a New York-based entrepreneur, activist, and advocate working to make technology and the tech industry more humane, inclusive, and ethical. He is cofounder of Makerbase, an online community for people who make apps and websites, and Activate, the boutique management consultancy which defines strategies for the most important companies in media and technology. As a writer and artist, he has been a contributing editor and monthly columnist for Wired and has had his works exhibited in the New Museum of Contemporary Art. He serves as a board member for a wide range of companies and nonprofits and advises key startups and nonprofits, including Medium and DonorsChoose.
Ashley C. Ford is a writer, editor, and public speaker, who lives in Brooklyn by way of Indianapolis, Indiana. She is currently writing a memoir (among other things), and co-editing the anthology Not That Bad: Dispatches from Rape Culture with Roxane Gay. Ashley has written or guest-edited for The Guardian, ELLE, BuzzFeed, Slate, I-D, Lenny Letter, Matter, Design*Sponge, and various other web and print publications. She's spoken at SXSW, Earlham College, Girls Write Now, and was a featured opening writer on Lena Dunham's Not That Kind of Girl book tour.
