TGD Live is a monthly event series that brings together today's artists, makers, and risk-takers for interviews and performances in front of a live studio audience. Each TGD Live event is recorded and audio will be syndicated online for everyone to enjoy—not just those lucky enough to attend.
ABOUT THIS SHOW'S GUESTS
Chip Kidd is an award-winning graphic designer and writer in New York. His groundbreaking book jacket designs for Alfred A. Knopf have elevated the form for close to three decades. He has published several books, including national best seller, The Cheese Monkeys, Go: A Kidd’s Guide to Graphic Design, the first book to teach children graphic design, Judge This, a design book under the TED imprint of Simon & Schuster, and Only What's Necessary: The Art of Charles M. Schulz and Peanuts from Abrams. He's the recipient of the National Design Award for Communications, and has given two TED Talks, which have been viewed almost 3 million times combined.
Jen Mussari is a freelance lettering artist and illustrator based in Brooklyn. She works from a communal office space with her ride-or-die freelancer family, Ghostly Ferns. Her work has gained the recognition of notable clients, including Kickstarter, Patagonia, the Art Director's Club, EMI, Capitol Records, Target, West Elm, Penguin Books, Adobe, and Pentagram.
