Teacher appreciation is a year-round thing!
The Bridge is hosting an a "Supply Swap" event to give away classroom supplies as teachers prepare their classrooms. Join us THIS Thursday, August 3rd at Gallaudet University's I. King Jordan Student Academic Center where teachers will have a chance to come in and grab the supplies that they need! Remaining supplies will be at the TFA Office the week of August 7 on a first-come, first-serve basis.
These are some examples of supplies we are giving away:
- School Supplies: notebooks, paper, folders, binders, clipboards, dry erase boards, scissors, glue, pencil cases, crayons, markers, pencils, and pens
- Office Supplies: paper, staplers, sticky notes, desk organizers, and storage containers
- Classroom Materials: pocket charts, name tags, stickers, student certificates, posters, charts, bulletin board decorations, and calendar materials
- Curriculum Supplements: math manipulatives, interactive tools, science tools, curriculum kits, games, puzzles, and center activities
- Early Childhood, elementary, and middle school: Books for a classroom library
- Books: workbooks, teacher resources, big books
- Furniture: If in good condition and helpful for organization in the classroom!
