Event description

Description

Join September's Work In Progress resident Sheri Shih-Hui for a workshop on how to upcycle bioplastics and learn more about future sustainable materials.

In this workshop, Sheri will guide students through the process of combining gelatin based bioplastic with textile scraps and trims to create a fabric like material, using simple kitchen science and DIY methods.

Sheri Shih Hui is a Taiwanese interdisciplinary designer, working with various creative methodologies to realize the previously unimagined, including using digital modeling, digital fabrication with CNC and 3D printing, and molding and casting using bio-materials, textiles and fibers. Learn more here, and visit her studio at TAC's Work In Progress (Manhattan studio) on Saturday's 2-5pm.
