The weight-loss surgery program at Texoma Medical Center (TMC) has been designated as a fully accredited Bariatric Center by the Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery Accreditation and Quality Improvement Program (MBSAQIP).
TMC offers weight-loss seminars on the second Thursday and last Wednesday of the month. Each seminar is hosted by one of our weight-loss surgeons.
Aaron Cernero, DO, is board certified by the American Board of General Surgery and specializes in weight-loss surgery. He received his medical degree from the University of North Texas Health Science Center, University of California San Francisco School of Medicine, where he also completed his internship and residency. Dr. Cernero is a member of the Texas Medical Association, Texas Osteopathic Medical Association, and American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery.
Dr. Cernero's seminars begin at 5:30 p.m. in Conference Room 2.

Ikram Kureshi, MD, specializes in weight-loss surgery. He received his medical degree from Texas Tech University School of Medicine. Dr. Kureshi completed his internship and residency at the University of Connecticut School of Medicine, and a fellowship at Harvard in minimally invasive and bariatric surgery. He is a member of the American Medical Association, Society of American Gastrointestinal Endoscopic Surgeons, American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery, Texas Medical Association.
Dr. Kureshi's seminars begin at 6 p.m. on the last Wednesday of the month in Conference Room 2.
