Known as "The World's Greatest Party Band," the B-52s will bring their party rock to Levitt Pavilion Arlington Saturday, Oct. 8, for the pavilion's annual benefit concert that raises funds for more than 50 free concerts a year. After 36 years and 20 million albums sold, the B-52s are still rocking concerts around the world with their groundbreaking songs like Rock Lobster, Dance This Mess Around and Private Idaho and chart-topping hits like Love Shack, Roam and Deadbeat Club. They re-emerged on the pop scene with their 2008 CD, Funplex, with signature B-52s’ style and unforgettable dance-rock tunes that start a party every time their music begins. Proceeds from the B-52s concert will help Levitt Pavilion Arlington provide more than 50 free, culturally diverse concerts. It is the only Levitt concert that requires a ticket purchase.
