Event description

Description

The Building Bridges Initiative (BBI) is a national initiative working to identify and promote practice and policy that will create strong and closely coordinated partnerships and collaborations between families, youth, community- and residentially-based treatment and service providers, advocates and policy makers to ensure that comprehensive services and supports are family-driven, youth-guided, strength-based, culturally and linguistically competent, individualized, evidence and practice-informed, and consistent with the research on sustained positive outcomes.

The January 28-30, 2019 BBI Training Event invites Texas residential program leaders to explore the use of promising, best, and evidence-informed practices that align with the research on improving sustained positive outcomes post-residential discharge for youth and families served in their systems of care. During this event, BBI consultants, including residential and family advocate leaders who have worked on residential transformation in another state, will share information both to support all Texas stakeholders in continuing their good work under the Texas Building Bridges Initiative with youth and families, and in making improvements to residential interventions that correlate to sustained positive outcomes post residential discharge.'

Please plan to join us for the learning partnership toward best practices!
