Texas A&M University- MSN-Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) Admissions Application Workshop

BECOME AN AGGIE NURSE!

Program applications for the MSN-Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) Fall 2018 admission are currently open! The MSN-FNP Program is scheduled to begin in Fall 2018.

Don’t miss out on our Fall 2018 Admissions Application Workshops, where you can receive assistance in completing your Admissions application, receive helpful admission tips, and learn more about the admission requirements of the MSN-FNP Program.

The MSN-FNP Program is for baccalaureate degree nurses who wish to pursue a career as a Family Nurse Practitioner.


NOTE: Prospective students must RSVP to attend the application workshop. All attendees will be entered into a raffle for a chance to win an exclusive Aggie gift basket. Hope to see you there!

The workshop will cover the following:

  • MSN-FNP Program information
  • admission criteria and requirements
  • admission essay and resume
  • curriculum overview and clinical experiences
  • application requirements and deadlines
  • Assistance will be provided to complete the NursingCAS application
  • Assistance will be provided to construct the admission essay and resume

Application Workshops:

  • November 17th 10:00am-2:00pm
  • November 29th 10:00am-12:00pm
  • November 29th 5:30pm-7:00pm

Students may come and go anytime during the application workshop. However, please note that the first 30 minutes of the workshop will be about general information on the MSN-FNP Program information.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Graduates from the nursing program will receive the Master of Science in Family Nurse Practitioner from Texas A&M University. All nursing graduate students are eligible to receive the iconic Aggie ring upon graduation, the most symbolic representation of Texas A&M University traditions. Graduates may also participate in the commencement ceremony held in College Station.

What items do I need to bring to the application workshop?

Students must bring a copy of an unofficial transcript(s) from all schools attended to complete the admission application (NursingCAS).

Absolutely! You can contact Eva Magallan, Academic Advisor at 956-668-6328 to set up an advising appointment or send your transcript(s) electronically via email at magallan@tamhsc.edu.

What is the total cost of the MSN-FNP Program? Is there financial aid available?

The total program cost (tuition and fees) of the MSN-FNP Program (Texas resident) is $18,500. Yes, there is financial aid available. We will discuss the types of financial aid available during the information session.
