Event description

Description

The Everhart Tête-à-Tête Series is a quarterly public program designed to spark imaginations and ignite conversation about current events. Each Everhart Tête-à-Tête discussion will focus on a topic curated by the Programming department of the Everhart, and will be led by a professional or expert in that field. These discussions will last about 1 hour and are limited in the number of seats available for the live discussion.

Our first Tête-à-Tête conversation will focus on Environment and Conservation, and will be led by Bernie McGurl. Bernie McGurl is the Executive Director of the Lackawanna River Conservation Association (LRCA), and the co-founder of the Lackawanna Valley Conservancy (LVC), created by the LRCA in 1995 to function as a land trust supporting the conservation needs of the Lackawanna Valley. He currently serves as Secretary of the LVC Board where he is actively engaged in acquisition and management of real estate along the Lackawanna River and in natural resource areas of the Lackawanna Watershed.

Everhart Tête-à-Tête Discussions are inspired by the Everhart Museum book club, Everhart Reads. Everhart Reads will be reading books which correspond with our new quarterly themes, and will meet the first Thursday of each month.

Not only will our book club discussions be live-Tweeted on the first Thursday of every month, but now our quarterly Everhart Tête-à-Tête discussions will be live-streamed on Facebook! Please join us for an evening of conversation and new ideas!
