OBJECTIVES

  • Describe the role of the Truama Registrar as a data manager.
  • Examine the data abstraction process used in data management for the emergency care system.
  • Discuss the processes used for medical coding and the data dictionary.
  • Describe various uses for data for improved patient care, program and system development, injury prevention and legislative initiatives.
  • Discuss the data collection and analysis processes from the EMS perspective.
  • Analyze the unique differences with the Pediatric Trauma Registry.

CONTINUING EDUCATION

This conference provides 6.75 contact hours.  Texas EMS, Trauma & Acute Care Fundation is an approved provider of continuing nursing education by the Texas Nurses Association, an accredited approver by the American Nurses Association.

Registration includes conference materials, refreshment breaks and lunch.
