Testify Presents: The Austin StorySlam

The Story Slam will consist of 8 stories. We will have 3 judges and are working on an audience judging component. Stories should be from 4 - 6 minutes. Any story over 6 minutes is disqualified from a win that night. What does the winner get? Bragging rights? A delightful prize? We're working on that.

These are the guidelines to score a story

1. meet the theme in some way

2. be a true personal story

3. have some sort of story arc, beginning and ending

4. performance

5. told from memory (no notes allowed)

6. meet the time requirements

Technical Guidelines

1. points deducted for not meeting time requirements (either too short, or over 6 minutes)

2. any language that is derogatory towards any person on a basis of sexuality, race or religion

3. stories are told at a stationary microphone

**NOTE: performances may contain strong language and adult content.**

Doors open around 7:00 pm. This is a general admission show, arrive early to assure you have a seat.
