Terra sigillata, literally meaning “sealed earth,” is a process derived from ancient Roman pottery. Terra sig, for short, has numerous applications for the modern potter. Join Cynthia as she demonstrates the use of this fascinating material to create beautiful textural surfaces on your work. Projects will include handbuilt message tiles, small trays and wall boxes. You will complete these pieces using kanthol wire, beads, made or found objects, or any mixed media you would like to incorporate.
