Description

As part of our day of young voices in courage, author ALEXANDRA STYRON, who's upcoming book, STEAL THIS COUNTRY:A HANDBOOK FOR RESISTANCE, PERSISTENCE, AND FIXING ALMOST EVERYTHING comes out in the fall, shares her experiences talking to young heroes who chose to speak out courageously about their experience, after which she will introduce young heroes who had the courage to speak out. With special guest LISETTE DIAZ, who came out as undocumented while studying at Harvard.


About Alexandra:

Alexandra Styron is the author of the best-selling memoir Reading My Father and All The Finest Girls, a novel. Her work has appeared in The New Yorker, The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, and Vanity Fair, among other publications. A graduate of the MFA program at Columbia University, Alexandra is a professor of creative writing in the MFA program at Hunter College. She lives with her husband and two children in Brooklyn, New York. alexandrastyron.com
