Event description

The Tennessee Valley Corridor will hold its annual National Summit at the U.S. Space and Rocket Center (USSRC) in Huntsville, Alabama on May 31 and June 1, 2017. The event’s theme borrows a phrase coined by Summit co-host Mayor Tommy Battle about Huntsville -- “Smart. Innovative. Collaborative.” Mayor Battle’s co-host is USSRC CEO Dr. Deborah Barnhart.

The 22nd Annual TVC Summit will focus on the important role that NASA’s Marshall Space Flight Center (MSFC) has had in helping create a “space and advanced manufacturing corridor” in the region. MSFC, along with the Air Force’s Arnold Engineering Development Center, the University Space Institute, both in Tullahoma, TN, with many contractors and sub-contractors throughout the TVC have helped spur innovation and collaboration among many partners. Additionally, Summit attendees will learn about many successful activities in the Huntsville and North Alabama, as well as smart and innovative collaborations involving other federal missions in Oak Ridge and the rest of the TVC.
