Event description

Description

The Tennessee State Museum is hitting the road this summer to assist teachers with understanding the state’s new social studies teaching requirements. And we’re doing it at no cost to you! Meet TSM staff as we partner with institutions in all three grand divisions of the state.
Programs include:

  • An overview of new social studies standards and the changes to 4th and 5th grades;
  • Engaging and interactive activities to use in your classrooms;
  • How the NEW State Museum, opening Oct. 2018, will better serve teachers across the state;
  • Resources from TSM and partnering sites which will make your job a little bit easier.

Teachers who attend our summer workshops will get early access to our Traveling Trunk program and learn how to participate in our Grand Opening ceremony this October.

While the workshops are free, seats are limited, and reservations are required. To register, visit: www.tnmuseum.org
