Celebrate the holiday season with a tour of the Tennessee Residence featuring this year's theme: Songs of the Season

About this Event

Guests are invited to join Governor Bill Lee and First Lady Maria Lee in celebrating their first Christmas season at the Tennessee Residence with the home beautifully decorated for the holidays. Holiday tours will begin on Friday, December 6, 2019 and will conclude on Sunday, December 15, 2019.

This year's theme will showcase Songs of the Season where tour guests will enjoy festive decor throughout the historical Governor's home artfully inspired by the classic carols of the most wonderful time of the year. Families, friends, school groups, tour groups and individuals are all welcome to register for a tour of Tennessee's home that is sure to bring all the delight and merriment of the holiday season.

Self-guided tours will be available at the Tennessee Residence during the dates and times indicated on the event sign up page. Tour reservations are required to attend. Parking will be provided at a nearby church parking lot at Woodmont Hills Church, 3710 Franklin Rd, Nashville, TN 37204 and guests will be shuttled onto the Tennessee Residence property for tours. Want to help those in need this holiday season?

In the true spirit of the holiday season, the Lees are bringing a new tradition to the Tennessee Residence by way of collecting items for those in need. Donated items will benefit five nonprofits from across the state that work to serve at-risk youth, families, foster children, homeless and victims of abuse. Each nonprofit will be represented by a tree decorated in Conservation Hall, and donated items will be collected underneath the trees as a visible representation of the impact that generous Tennesseans will have this holiday season.

First Lady Maria Lee and her team will collect items throughout the holiday tour season at the Tennessee Residence. Items should NOT be wrapped. Monetary donations are NOT accepted. We invite you consider bringing one or more items from the list below. Donations are NOT required to attend. Items are categorized by nonprofit in need:

Area Relief Ministries

Collected items will benefit the homeless of the Jackson-area

  • Steel toe boots, sizes 10-14
  • Heavy coats
  • Scarves
  • Gift cards: Subway or Wal-Mart
  • Gloves

Carl Perkins Center for the Prevention of Child Abuse

Collected items will benefit victims of child abuse in Carroll, Chester, Crockett, Decatur, Fayette, Gibson, Hardeman, Hardin, Haywood, Henderson, Henry, Lauderdale, Madison, McNairy, Tipton and Weakley Counties

Please note: ages newborn-17

Hope Clinic

Collected items will benefit women, men and families dealing with: unplanned pregnancies, access to women's healthcare, prevention education, pregnancy loss (miscarriage, stillbirth, infant death, failed IVF/Adoption and abortion) and postpartum depression of Middle Tennessee

  • Diapers (newborn to size 4) and wipes
  • Baby shoes/socks/hats for winter
  • Onesies for winter
  • Feminine hygiene products (pads, tampons)

Isaiah 117 House

Collected items will benefit children awaiting foster care placement in Blount, Bradley, Carter, Cocke, Coffee, Greene, Franklin, Grundy, Rutherford, Sullivan and Washington Counties

Collected items will benefit the at-risk youth of Lonsdale and Parkridge Neighborhoods in Knoxville

Parking Information

Shuttle parking for each day of the tours will be provided from a nearby church parking lot at Woodmont Hills Church, 3710 Franklin Rd, Nashville, TN 37204.

Please arrive no more than 10 minutes ahead of your scheduled tour time. You will park at the church lot and be shuttled to the Residence. Shuttles will also bring you back to your vehicle upon exiting the tour. Restrooms will not be available at the shuttle lot, but will be available once you arrive at the Tennessee Residence.

Please bring a valid photo ID if possible to help expedite the check in process at the shuttle lot.


Are there ID requirements or an age limit to enter the event?

Please bring a photo ID if possible to help expedite the check in process. Children and Senior Citizens will not need a photo ID.

What are my transport/parking options getting to the event?

Parking for all Home for the Holidays tours is available at Woodmont Hills Church, 3710 Franklin Rd, Nashville, TN 37204.

Parking WILL NOT be available on site for the open house due to the property’s parking limitations. We please ask that all visitors park at the designated parking lot for shuttle transportation to the Tennessee Residence at Woodmont Hills Church, 3710 Franklin Rd, Nashville,TN 37204. Shuttles will transport guests from Woodmont Hills Church to the Tennessee Residence, and will return guests to their vehicles at the Woodmont Hills lot upon completion of the tour.

Shuttles will be ADA Accessible.

We recommend arriving to the shuttle lot about 10 minutes prior to your scheduled tour time.

What can/can't I bring to the event?

Cameras are allowed on the tour; however, we please ask that camera flashes be turned off when taking photographs inside the home due to the sensitivity of the artwork.

Strollers will be accommodated at the event, both on the shuttles as well as onsite during the tours.

Shuttles and tours are ADA accessible.

Are the tours guided?

The tours are self-guided. Upon entering the home, you will receive a brochure with information about the home and the decorations which you can use to guide you through the tour. We will also have our team of docents and volunteers stationed throughout the tour to provide additional information and answer any questions you may have.

Can I update my registration information or change names, timeslots, or emails of my registration?

You can update your registration information by logging into Eventbrite using the email and account information you used to sign up for your tour, going to your "Tickets" page and clicking "Edit". Please see this helpful article from Eventbrite for more information on updating your registration.

We ask that you finalize tour participants no later than 48 hours prior to your tour. The name of each visitor will be checked by security upon arrival, and it will be helpful if your list is accurate.

Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?

You do not need to bring your printed ticket. You reservation will be reserved under your name. Please bring a photo ID if possible to help expedite the check in process.

The name on the registration/ticket doesn't match the attendee. Is that okay?

Yes, the tickets are transferable; however, we please ask that the names under your tour reservation be as accurate as possible.

Are restrooms available at the event?

Restrooms WILL NOT be available at the parking lot for shuttle transportation. Restrooms WILL be available once you arrive to the Tennessee Residence.
