Tennessee Affordable Housing Coalition Membership, 2017
To Speak with a Single Voice to Represent Consumers of Affordable Housing
The Tennessee Affordable Housing Coalition (TNAHC) is a group of individuals interested and involved in improving the availability and quality of affordable housing in the State of Tennessee. The group includes not-for-profit housing providers, public housing agencies, builders, REALTORS®, lenders and agencies from various governmental levels.
TNAHC is currently in the process of expanding and forming three regional councils, one in each Grand Division of the State.
The goals of TNAHC are:
- Establish and support an active and effective network of educated stakeholders committed to understanding and addressing the needs for affordable housing in Tennessee.
- Effectively communicate and advocate the need for, and the social and economic impact of, affordable housing in Tennessee to law makers, policy makers, civic leaders, business leaders, housing providers, communities and the general public.
- Establish and maintain active partnerships with funders of affordable housing initiatives in Tennessee.
General membership is $25 and is open to anyone interested in furthering the cause of affordable housing in Tennessee. TNAHC has three regional councils, one in each Grand Division of the State. Each regional council has a leader and meets at minimum twice a year – you are encouraged to attend the regional meeting closest to you. Those in the general membership are invited to participate on statewide committees in various areas of interest. There is one statewide meeting annually, held in conjunction with the Governor’s Housing Summit. In addition a housing "Day on the Hill" takes place annually in February.
