This is the quarterly EMS Continuing Education Training Day for the first quarter of 2017. The training this quarter is cohosted by the Chesapeake Fire Department and sponsored by Sentara Health and Bon Secours Health Systems. All EMS personnel and nurses are invited to attend. This focus of this quarter's topics is special cardiac and respiratory devices and conditions to include:
- Left Ventricular Assistive Devices (LVADs)
- Total Artificial Heart (TAH)
- Pulmonary Hypertension
- Hands-on skills laboratory focused on the various home health devices used to support patients with these devices/conditions.
Continuing Education Credits:
EMS Personnel: Virginia Office of EMS credits will be awarded to attending EMS Personnel. Please enter your Virginia EMS certification number in the block provided during the registration process.
Nurses: Nurses will receive a letter of completion.
Lunch: Lunch will be provided free of charge to all students.
Registration: Registration is required. Please bring a copy of your ticket with you to the class. An electronic version of the ticket on your mobile phone is acceptable.
