Mindful Attention & Awareness Training (MAAT)

The Mindful Attention & Awareness Training (MAAT) program is a five-week class that lays a solid foundation for participants to understand mindfulness principles, develop a personal meditation practice, and apply mindfulness principles to daily life on an ongoing basis.

Each class includes a lecture, practice, and group discussion. MAAT is taught in a welcoming community setting.

MAAT classes meet once a week for two hours for five weeks. Participants in the program will learn about topics such as:

  • Foundations of Mindfulness
  • Mindfulness of the Mind & Body
  • Building a Mindfulness-Based Practice
  • Challenges to Mindfulness
  • Mindfulness as a Way of Living

Participants in the Mindfulness as a Way of Life Program will also learn a variety of skills.

  • Sitting meditation
  • Body awareness exercises
  • Mindful breathing
  • Mindful movement
We would like to reach out to everyone to donate to the temple because it provides essential services to the community, such as religious guidance, spiritual enrichment, and social support. Donations help the temple keep its doors open and continue to offer these services to the community. They also help maintain the grounds, buildings, and other resources used by the temple.
