About this event
Do you know which Arizona governor declared war on California, how Bermuda grass got to Tempe, or why the names Honor, Thanks and Guess are important? Join other curious Tempe visitors on Sunday, October 31 at 2:00 p. m. for “Tales from Double Butte Cemetery”. You will get the answers to these questions and more during this fascinating tour.
The tour will start with a brief introduction, then you will be taken, in groups, on a guided tour to 7 graves to learn a bit about the person buried there. Pause at the Veteran's Memorial and, at the end of the tour, you are welcome to explore the cemetery on your own.
IMPORTANT NOTES: Parking is very limited, please carpool or get dropped off if possible. Wear comfortable, closed toed shoes. Stay on the paths and with your tour group at all times.
