Each church facility is unique, but between 30 and 50 companies is typical. - How many candidates are expected to attend each Church Job Fair?
A good estimate is between 300 and 500 candidates, but some events like the Cucamonga Christian Fellowship Job Fair have attracted over 750 candidates and with over 65 employers. - How should I dress? What do I bring? Please dress to impress, think of how the manager of the position you're applying for would interview. Wear that outfit! Wear comfortable shoes, you may be waiting for a while. Bring plenty copies of your resume. Smile! Network with everyone you meet, you may be able to help them and they you.
- What do employers provide, and what should they expect to receive? Employers will provide candidates with opportunities for both full and part time positions and assistance in how to apply. Some will provide an introductory interview. They will receive a 6 foot table, 2 chairs, light refreshments, lunch access and access to hundreds of active local job seekers.
- What is the background for expected candidates at Church Job Fairs? Candidates will come from all walks of life, including Veterans/Military, Sales, Students, Transportation, but the common factor is they will be located within a 35 mile radius of each church.
- How are these events promoted? What makes this a unique event? Candidates and employers are invited from within the church, other local churches, local EDD, friends, radio, local print media, social media and MOMs tell their children!
