Join us for a scenic four mile hike through Telamay Hollow at the J.T. Nickel Preserve near Tahlequah, OK. We will hike through some of the most remote and pristine areas of the preserve. The hike will descend down into the Telamay Hollow drainage where participants will be led along the forested, spring-fed Telamay stream. Along the way, the group will hear about the ongoing conservation efforts to protect this wonderful area. After a break for lunch, the group will continue along the drainage until they ascend to the upper ridge tops of Telamay Hollow. The hike will follow some forest roadways, but the distance, ruggedness, and steepness of part of the route make it appropriate only for those in good physical condition.
