Marc Robert Wong, TeenTechSF Founder

TeenTechSF is an interactive tech community for teens to innovate, collaborate, and create founded by Marc Robert Wong, a junior in the French baccalaureate math/science track at International High School. Since the launch last spring, TeenTechSF has connected over 300 students at 32 diverse Bay Area schools with tech leaders from Apple to Zynga. Mayor Lee's Office of Innovation presented TTSF with a Certificate of Honor from the City of San Francisco for "outstanding efforts toward engaging San Francisco students in technology" and "contributing to the vitality of San Francisco, the Innovation Capital of the World."

TeenTechSF founder, Marc Robert Wong, is a member of the SF Public Library Youth Advisory Board charged with designing a Digital Learning Lab to give all teens access to internet resources and programs to develop tech skills and also serves on the Youth Advisory Board for Wislr, the first and only high school mobile network app. He has invented two apps himself and interned with WeGame, StoryTelling Media, TechCentralSF, and worked as a beta tester for Google's Chrome notebook and Blizzard Entertainment's new Hearthstone game. Marc was one of five high school students selected among thousands nationwide to receive the Samsung Technology Scholarship, and this May, Marc has been invited to give a presentation at the MLF global education conference in Zaragoza, Spain on student-initiated tech efforts like TeenTechSF.
