Acting for Camera (Film & TV) Workshop: PILOT SEASON BOOT CAMP
Teens & Kids (ages 9-17 years old)
In short, based on our 30 years experience thus far as professional film and television actors/filmmakers/acting coachs, we present a two-part ‘acting for camera’ format, combining the components, principles, and disciplines of Stanislavski's 'Preparation' of ‘building a character’ leading up to the moment, along with Meisner's ‘repetition exercises’ in the 'Moment'.
This work shop serves as a journey into self-discovery for each actor, to identify, take ownership of, your own unique 'emotional instrument' and 'creative brand', moving forward into the entertainment industry, as a professional, disciplined actor.
We encourage each actor to dig in, make it your own, and forge a path to creative and economic success:
Actor/Filmmaker/Acting Coach - BoJesse Christopher
BoJesse is best know for his portrayal of Grommet/LBJ, the reckless younger brother of Patrick Swayze in the 20th Century Fox classic original feature film 'Point Break', directed by academy award winner Kathryn Bigelow ('The Hurt Locker', 'Zero Dark Thirty'), released in 1991.
BoJesse shall also appear as the Director of the FBI in the $100 million dollar re-creation of 'Point Break', directed by Erickson Core, distributed by Warner Bros., in theaters worldwide Christmas.
Moreover, BoJesse recently co-starred in the feature film 'The Runaround' opposite academy award winner J.K. Simmons & Emile Hersh, to be released in 2016.
Since 1988, BoJesse Christopher has acted opposite Hollywood's elite actors in a wide variety of over 47 notable film and television projects.
BoJesse is the creator, director, and acting coach of the popular 'Truth Be Told' Stanislavski/Meisner Acting Collective located in Hollywood, CA.
BoJesse also lectures the Masters Acting Class for Camera at both the prestigious The New York Film Academy (MFA/BFA program) in Los Angeles, and the immerging Relativity School (integrated MFA/BFA performing arts program w/ Relativity Media/Studios) at LA Center Studio, Los Angeles, CA.
In addition, BoJesse does private coaching, on set, and in studio, by appointment (notable clients include; Maggie Grace (Taken, Taken 2, Taken 3), Dawn Olivieri (HBO's 'House Of Lies'), to name a few.
Actor/Filmmaker/Acting Coach - Oscar Alvarez
Oscar says, "Learn how to be real and relaxed inside the audition room, take direction well and get the job. Our young actor’s callback and pin ratio is high, and they book!
Oscar Alvarez began his career in the entertainment industry as an actor and has been a member of SAG-AFTRA since 2000. He has starred in National Commercials for WalMart, Miller Lite, Toyota, 24 Hour Fitness, Dell and more. He also co-starred on several T.V. sitcoms. It was his time as an actor when he realized his true calling was behind the camera.
In July of 2004, he had an amazing opportunity to work with OSCAR Nominated Director, David O. Russell (American Hustle, Silver Linings Playbook, The Fighter, I Heart Huckabees), and came aboard his Iraq war documentary, SOLDIERS PAY as Production Manager.
Oscar continued on as Head of Production for the shooting of all the I HEART HUCKABEES supplemental materials, foreign and domestic, including the Jon Brion music video, KNOCK YOURSELF OUT with Mark Wahlberg/Jason Schwartzman, and the Dustin Hoffman/Lilly Tomlin infomercial, HOW AM I NOT MYSELF? All the while Oscar managed and oversaw the day-to-day
In late 2008, Oscar founded NicoBella Films. In December of that year, he produced the independent short film by Writer/Director Peter Chen, CHILD REDUCTION ACT.
In 2011, Oscar teamed up with documentarian, Kevin Derek to produce the award winning feature documentary film, EMPTY HAND: THE REAL KARATE KIDS currently written up in Black Belt magazine as “A MUST SEE...the first real Karate movie in years".
In 2013, Oscar teamed up with Producer, Todd Jeffery to produce a comedy short film by Writer/Director Dustin Thomas Cartmill, THE WOLF starring Zach Cregger, Caitriona Balfe and Frank Rautenbach as the Wolf.
In 2015, Oscar teamed up again with Producer/Writer/Director, Todd Jeffery in his Feature Thriller, NO ESCAPE starring Gabe Fazio (The Place Beyond the Pines) and BoJesse Christopher (Point Break) which is currently in post production.
Oscar continues to produce and coach young actors what he’s learned over the years of being in front of the camera and behind the camera. He wants to pass along his knowledge to help these young artists grow and meet their goals. His goal to make sure his young actors are working as they learn the craft of acting.
Note - Mentor referral programs through the renowned THE SAVAGE AGENCY, MEDIA ARTIST GROUP, AND SPECIAL ARTIST AGENCY, etc. (specializing in representing youth under 18 years old in television, film, commercial, and Voice Over).

Every Sunday Afternoon
3-6 pm (3 hours)
Each Actor shall work at least twice per workshop; repetition warm up, scene work, all for camera (film & tv).
Each workshop we shall apply uniquely integrated acting for camera challenges, such as behavior, dialect, camera technique, etc, as well as apply basic principals, components, disciplines of a working professional actor.
Parking in lot and street parkeing available. Actors will be paired up, scenes will be assigned, and emailed in advance of each workshop.

Get to know you emotional self, so you can put your emotional self into the work.

Note - All drop in classes must be confirmed in advance, so I can pull a scene for you, and pair you up with another actor.
