TEEN AMBASSADOR PROGRAM
Calling All Shelby County High School Students!
Ballet On Wheels Dance School & Company, a non-profit organization, is now accepting applications for our Teen Ambassador Program (TAP). Through a variety of volunteer projects and special events, high school students will serve as Teen Ambassadors and assist in raising awareness and interest in Ballet On Wheels via community service and volunteer efforts. This program is designed to attract a dynamic, service-oriented group of young individuals who have an interest not only in helping BOW, but in developing valuable leadership, marketing, non-profit and communication skills.
As a Teen Ambassador, students will have the opportunity to participate in various community events and activities throughout the year as part of this truly unique experience.
Areas of Interest: Technology, Children & Youth, Music, DECA, Performing Arts, Theater, Film, Community Service, Marketing, Non-Profit, Social Media, etc.
Age Requirements: Teens, 15 - 18
Program Benefits: Leadership and community engagement opportunities will be provided to all members of this program. Ballet On Wheels' Teen Ambassador Program is the only organization in the city approved for the prestigious Presidential Volunteer Service Award ( recieved upon completion) College recommendation letters will be provided (upon request)
Additional Information: The TAP is open to all Shelby County High School Sophomores, Juniors & Seniors. Teen Ambassadors will meet approximately six to eight times during the school year and participate in 3 to 4 service projects. We estimate an average time commitment of 3 - 4 hours per month for a period of 7 months with the option to renew the following year, provided the student successfully meets requirements.

If selected, the initial TAP Orientation Meeting will be held Monday, November 28, 2016 @ 6:00 p.m.
