The TEDxUWMadison 2013 theme of "Learning in Unexpected Places" will bring together an impressive and dynamic group of speakers from the University community to provide a unique story of a personal or professional learning experience. The speakers will be Alexander Shashko, Christopher Coe, Dietram Scheufele, Anita Bhattacharyya, and Lori DiPrete Brown.

There will also be screenings of TED talks to create a dynamic, well-rounded TED experience. This event will provide an exciting opportunity for engagement with prestigious individuals from the University of Wisconsin-Madison community and dialogue with curious and diverse peers.

TEDx is a program created to give groups the opportunity to experience TED-like events at a local level and stimulate discussion in the spirit of TED's mission, "ideas worth spreading."

Refreshments will be provided.

Thank you to the Associated Students of Madison as well as the Office of the Vice Provost & Chief Diversity Officer (Division of Diversity, Equity and Educational Achievement) for supporting this event.
