TEDxRVA Youth
Overview
TED is a nonprofit organization devoted to Ideas Worth Spreading. Starting as a four-day conference in California almost 30 years ago, TED has grown to support its mission with multiple initiatives. Launched in 2009, TEDx is a program consisting of locally organized events that bring a community together to produce a TED-like experience. TED conferences invite leading thinkers and doers from around the world to speak on a diverse mix of topics.
A total of nine speakers and two performers of different ages, races, and genders are scheduled to share ideas and insights related to this year’s theme — Wonder. This year's TEDxRVA Youth theme is all about embracing the power of wonder. From sparking curiosity that drives exploration to uncovering new perspectives that fuel creativity, wonder has the ability to transform the way we see the world. Whether it’s igniting wonder in science, art, conversation, or innovation, this theme invites us to imagine what can unfold when we allow ourselves to wonder, question, and discover together.
