WinWin Institute for Response-Able ReEntry in the LifeLine Reentry Community Center at Marion Correctional Institution
Sunday, September 15, 2013 from 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM (EDT)
At this TEDxMarionCorrectionalSalon we will once again ask a question...
What are you taking with you?
“Short talks and performances by people with ideas, to provoke conversations that matter.”
The talkers, performers and audience will be residents of Marion Correctional joined by guests from the outside.
Attendance is by invitation only. If you have been invited, register and your confirmation and information will follow soon. If you are registering independently, without an invitation, please proceed, and you will be notified soon if your name can be added to the guest list.
Program will include:
Andrew C. about how the military training he received did not prepare him for his life
Jason F. about the greatest TEDx performance that never was
Joshua M. performing a contemporary dance routine
Derek Mortland about healing his soul after being paralyzed in a racing accident
Speed TEDxing, structured conversation with the speakers and other guests, will follow the talks.
Also there will be plenty of time for spontaneous conversation.
- When your attendance is confirmed, we will help you prepare for an event inside prison. There are requirements regarding what you can and cannot bring in with you, appropriate dress, and interactions with each other and the residents.
- No meal or snack will be served. Eat before you come. Water will be provided.
- Hosted by WinWin, Inc. and the Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction, Marion Correctional.
