Patricia A.P. Fisher, JANUS Associates, Cybersecurity

Patricia A. P. Fisher is President and CEO of JANUS Associates, Inc., the oldest information security consulting firm in the U.S. She has led JANUS through its entire history, supporting major U.S. and global organizations to fulfill their information security needs. Prior to her position with JANUS Ms. Fisher spent 11 years at IBM where she managed the Information Security & Business Continuity Programs for IBM’s Latin American and Canadian sites. In that capacity, she provided management guidance and technical expertise in structuring, managing, and assessing information security programs and disaster recovery planning for IBM's own large data center sites and country operations including contributing expertise to the final offering for IBM’s Business Recovery consulting offering. During her work at IBM she also directed large data centers for IBM.

She also held significant management and technical positions as the Executive Assistant to IBM’s Chief Information Officer, in IBM’s financial planning, product, and accounting systems divisions, and led major Information Technology operational audits throughout the U.S.

Ms. Fisher serves as Vice Chair of the Connecticut Technology Council, and is the Chair of the Cyber Security Seminar series. She also serves on the Criminal Justice curriculum committee for the University of St. Joseph, previously served on the Cyber Security Curriculum Development Committee of Norwalk Community College, and is a past president of the Southwestern Fairfield County American Heart Association.

She has written chapters of two information technology security books, “Securing Client/Server Networks” and “Operating System Controls;” has appeared on numerous television programs, and is interviewed regularly by radio and the press.

Ms. Fisher holds a Master’s Degree in Business Administration (MBA) from Syracuse University and a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Economics from the Maxwell School at Syracuse University. She also holds professional certification in the Governance of Enterprise Information Technology (CGEIT); is certified in Risk and Information Systems Control (CRISC); and is a Member of the Business
