Welcome to Techtoberfest, a Ferguson-Florissant School District fall PD opportunity for teachers. This one-day summer camp-style workshop will take place at Little Creek Nature area on Saturday, October 1, 2016 from 9:00-3:00. Using Little Creek Nature Area, we will take to the outdoors to help us find innovative ways to incorporate technology into experiential learning.
During the course of the day, you will learn about: Smart Amp for Education; Google Apps for Education and Chromebooks; Chrome Apps and Extensions that support Powerful Practices; Google Streetview and Cardboard; Using Google Photos and documenting the world around you; Google Drawing for building graphic organizers; Google Keep and other collaborative activities.
Spend the day learning to think outside the box with instructional technology and collaborating with other teachers.
There will be outdoor trail walking so please wear appropriate shoes and clothing. We will break for lunch but it is recommended that you bring your lunch. This workshop will include Chromebooks and using Google Cardboard. You may bring other devices if you wish. It is recommended that you bring a smart phone with a camera, but not required.
