Welcome to TechRaking II, where top journalists, gamers, developers, and designers will come together for a day dedicated to answering the question: Why aren’t news games awesome?
In a world where games flow into life, and life flows into games, we want to explore the intersection of News and Games - how can (and will) it affect the way we consume the news?
Social and Gaming have become significant ways in which the public gathers information and interacts with content online. How can we best utilize these platforms for innovative and investigative journalism, and to reach and engage a different community of users than traditional media reaches?
10am-12pm: “State of Play” breakout sessions, exploring current best practices in the gaming, news and engagement spaces
12pm: Lunch + special guest speaker
1-6pm: Design Sprints - small groups will compete to design their best version of a News Game
6pm: Winner is announced
7-10pm: After-party at Gallery 16
