Technovation 2018 Atlanta Challenge: Lunch 'n Learn Workshop
Sat, July 15, 2017, 12:00 PM – 2:00 PM EDT
Join us for lunch to learn how you can inspire the next generation of technology entrepreneurs as a mentor with Technovation, an international mobile app competition for girls. Through Technovation, girls ages 10-18 imagine, design, and develop a mobile app and business plan to address a problem in their community. They are looking for mentors to support them through this process.
No tech or entrepreneurial experience is required.
Both men and women can be mentors.
Mentoring can take place in-person or virtually.
Extensive training and support is provided.
Technovation is a technology entrepreneurship program and competition for young women. Through this intensive 3-month, 50-hour curriculum, teams of young women work together to imagine, design, and develop mobile apps, then pitch their “startup” businesses to judges. Technovation is a program of Iridescent, a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization.
For legal purposes, we need signed waiver forms for all attendees. This waiver will be provided at the time of in-person check-in. Additionally, if you have not registered as student, mentor, or volunteer, please visit the Technovation Challenge website to register in advance of the launch workshop.
