Technology Thursdays for Seniors - **FREE TRAINING**
WANT TO BECOME A SURFING SENIOR...
CLOSING THE DIGITAL GAP (a non profit 501c3 in Michigan since year 2002) will be offering FREE training for local Seniors (age 50+) residing in Lansing, Okemos and East Lansing area. The training will be held at the WESTSIDE YMCA location and will provide an opportunity for Seniors to participate in Technology Thursday Workshop Sessions during the months of October, November and December 2016 regarding various topics about surfing and being safe on the Internet. The course costs of all internet training at the YMCA and CTDG have been covered by a sponsorship from Horizon Bank during FALL season of training from Closing The Digital Gap.
There is very limited seating* and you are required to be a Senior from Lansing, Okemos,or East Lansing. You also MUST RSVP and receive a registration confirmation number via

*Computers are provided to participants, however, there is an opportunity to bring your own device (laptop or tablet) instead of going on a waiting list, but you must be confirmed registered in the training and advise whether you are bringing your own device or need a computer workstation to participate in training.

Are there ID requirements or an age limit to enter the event?
This course is for Seniors only and we have adopted AARP's definition of a senior as 50 years plus (50+) for attendee who register to participate. Closing The Digital Gap does hold other courses at their location for all ages, call (517) 485-7581 to inquire about the next training course. THANKS!
What can/can't I bring to the event?
Once confirmed registered you can utilize the computers at the facility during training or you may bring your own device (laptop and/or android tablet) to receive training on. If you are bringing your own device and are confirmed registered, you must inform Closing The Digital Gap at (517) 485-7581 of the make and model of your device in order to allow instructors to assist you in the training session on your specific device.
