DECEMBER TOPIC:

The Evolution of Globalization and How Organizations Are Adapting

It is not news that organizations are facing a rapidly changing environment and leaders must adapt. However, the combination of such disparate pressures weighing on organizations and technology leaders is indeed new. This panel will have technology leaders share with how they are pivoting today and planning for the future given pressures like expanding and uncertain data privacy regulations, evolving cyber pressures, enhanced trade wars, pandemics, supply chain shifts, and social change pressures both internal and external to their organization.

Talking points might include how technology leaders are currently pivoting today and planning for tomorrow given:

  • Privacy rule uncertainty headaches (e.g. GDPR, CCPA).
  • Cyber threat environment and increased US government stringent practices in order to be able to do business with the federal government
  • Trade wars creating supply chain impacts, corporate nationalism and protectionism (e.g. TikTok, WeChat, Hauwei) and push towards automation (i.e. many are aggressively moving out of China).
  • Covid causing supply chain interruptions, push towards automation, and workplace dynamic shifts.
  • Social change pressures with diversity movements, flexible workplace, and others.

PANELISTS:

Vanessa Flick, Delivery Manager - Enterprise Business Services Americas, DLL

Priya Serai, CIO, Omnicable

Jeff Richardson, Chief Data Officer, Bentley Systems
