Are you a teacher looking to find best practices for integrating technology? Are you a principal hoping to motivate your staff and students to embrace 21st century learning tools? Are you a district administrator trying to identify LEA best practices? Have you looked all over for support at conferences, seminars, Twitter chats, only to find talking points, buzz words, one-way communication, and keepers of knowledge talking at you and not listening to you?
If you feel like we do, then it's time for a change. It's time to engage in a conversation. It's time to listen to others who are quietly making waves in their classroom, school, district (you!). It's time to connect across district lines and make meaningful, ongoing relationships with educators just like you.
With Technology Across District Lines (TADL) we want to create a living, always-evolving group that includes educators making connections between districts. The agenda will vary. Each TADL will have a focused topic where we can dive deeply and have rich discussions about a given topic and how we can bring these opportunities to students. TADL will have: a room; a group of excited, motivated educators (you!); and time to explore different topics in educational technology, bringing 21st century learning to students around southern California.
This TADL's topic focuses on SPEED GEEKING AND THE 4Cs USING INNOVATIVE TECHNOLOGIES.
The group meets once a month and will be hosted by a different district every month. Make the ones you can, and don't worry about the ones you can't! TADL only serves to help you accomplish 3 simple, but vital tasks: Share. Listen. Connect. We look forward to seeing you there!
