Technician Winter Event - Wednesday 17th December in the Creativity Zone 3C7 in Pevensey 3

Hi all,

This day will have a variety of activities occurring - please register so I can judge numbers.

I'm thrilled to announce two of our Technicians - Tilly & Sarah will be sharing with us some of the incredible accessibility adaptions they've been working on and implementing within their subject areas. After there talk there will be a relaxed question time, where I would like to invite you to submit questions to me to ask them (please email questions to me). This will hopefully allow an insightful discussion around the development, implementation and cross university collaboration & development potentials.

As well as this we're finalising additional speakers, crafts and activities - please see the draft programme below:

9.30-10.15 - Networking, Refreshments & Welcome

10.15-11.00 - Talk 1: Accessibility Developments by Teaching Technicians

Join this talk & question time with Tilly Ambrose (Physical Geography Technician) & Sarah Roberts (Teaching Technician - Biosciences) about some of the incredible accessibility tools and techniques they've implemented in their subjects

11.15-12.15 – Talk 2: BSMS Anatomy Teaching equipment - We're joined by Anatomy Technicians Willow Rivers & Leone Molitor, who will be bringing VR teaching equipment and Ultrasound materials, and offer us the chance to try and test how these are used in teaching.

12:00 - 16.30 - Afternoon of fun - pottery/ crockery painting, crafts, pottery smashing, games, networking, challenges!

I'm going to try and supply a small amount of refreshments, however if you could bring any sharables (biscuits or anything really) then that would be incredible.

I really hope you can come and join - even if it's just for a small segment of the day. There will also be other activities happening across the week, so keep a look out for updates. It would be awesome to be able to engage with as many of you as possible.
