About this event
TECHLATINO CYBER BOOTCAMPStudent RegistrationThe TechLatino Cyber Bootcamp hosted at Comcast helps to promote STEAM education and the critical spark towards building a diverse technology-oriented workforce. The world will increasingly require readily available access to information through the Internet. Reliance on information networks and technology comes with opportunities and risks. While promoting students’ online safety is important, education about cybersecurity is fundamentally lacking. With the changing demographics in America and the global economy, embracing differences is about cultivating an environment where talented individuals of all backgrounds can contribute to something bigger than themselves.Preparing the next generation of a diverse technology-oriented workforce begins with introducing students, especially from underprivileged backgrounds, to attaining skill sets for potential career opportunities as early as possible. The Congressional Cyber Bootcamp provides a day introduction to computer science and engineering fields or high school students in a highly engaging format.
